Enterprise-grade SSD for mixed workloads

Samsung PM897 SSDs provide increased write endurance, making them ideal for mixed read/write workloads, including general-purpose or dedicated cache tiers of hyper-converged infrastructure like VMware VSAN, logging applications, OLTP, database servers, and legacy workloads.

All SSDs in this lineup use the same Samsung controller and V-NAND flash memory to simplify customer qualification and ensure reliable high-volume supply.

High-performance SATA interface

Samsung PM897 SSDs deliver up to 560 MB/s sequential access, saturating the maximum performance for SATA-attached drives. This ensures workloads complete as quickly as possible and maximizes performance per gigabyte of data stored.

Hardware encryption and operational efficiency

Samsung PM897 SSDs include a hardware AES-XTS 256-bit encryption engine and support TCG Opal 2.0 for secure data management. Advanced SSD Toolkit software enables efficient operations, reduced server count, lower power and cooling requirements, and overall lower TCO.
